I graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a Bachelor's in Literature at the height of the Great Recession. Finding a job based on a liberal arts degree was tough and I filled a lot of gigs to get by (journalist for a free weekly paper, guitar teacher, comic scripter).

After running out of money in San Francisco I came back home to rethink things and built a website for a neighborhood community at my parent's request. From there my journey snowballed from stumbling around in Joomla, to hacking on Wordpress templates for small businesses, to being a web developer at a company making touch interfaces for casinos.

After working freelance and at a small start-up, I graduated from Origin Code Academy to level up my skills and diversify my talents.

I'm a big believer in the power of Javascript while also knowing it's not the end-all be-all of programming. I'm working on a Golang project based on Jared Fogelman's Primitive and I utilize Kirby CMS for small and mid-sized businesses.

I'm always keen to find collaborators in the space of graphics, meetups, games/ludology, and music creation. If you have an idea you want to run by me, feel free to contact me.
